This project entailed a 2.5km long upgrade of the existing regional road from the N25 Wexford Bypass to the fringe of the town centre including pavement overlay, traffic calming, cycle lanes, footpaths, pedestrian crossings and bus stops. The rationale behind the scheme was to promote commuting behavioural change on the R730 in order to actively encourage modal shift away from the car to walking, cycling and bus use. The project included the improvement of the Sinnottstown Lane Junction, a priority T-junction that was experiencing operational issues. Roadplan Consulting provided the following services to Wexford County Council: detailed design, tender management, construction administration & supervision and Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
